From day one, we've been committed to building an AI agent builder that provides additional privacy options. SOC 2 Type II certification is proof of that commitment.
What is SOC 2 Type II?
SOC 2 is the gold standard for SaaS security and data protection.
There are two types:
SOC 2 Type I verifies that security controls are properly designed at a specific point in time.
SOC 2 Type II goes further. It verifies that those controls operate effectively over an extended period of time with continuous monitoring. That's us!
The certification covers five trust principles:
- Security - Protection against unauthorized access
- Availability - Systems are available for operation and use
- Processing Integrity - System processing is complete, valid, accurate, timely, and authorized
- Confidentiality - Confidential information is protected
- Privacy - Personal information is collected, used, retained, disclosed, and disposed of properly

Chipp's Privacy-First Approach
SOC 2 Type II certification supports all three of Chipp's privacy tiers:
Standard - Your data is never used for training. No model provider can use what you share to improve their models.
Zero Data Retention (ZDR) - Conversations and files are immediately deleted from LLMs. Nothing is stored on the AI model providers servers. This is available on our Business Plan.
Private Cloud - Run Chipp on your own infrastructure with a private domain. Maintain complete data sovereignty. This is our Enterprise Add-On option.
SOC 2 Type II means these privacy controls are verified and monitored continuously.
