This week, chips are going to space, doctors are avoiding burnout and I shared why it’s time for businesses to build their own Owned AI systems before it’s too late.
We’re also gearing up for three exciting events that explore how AI transforms leadership, ministry, and business. Join us for AI for Churches, Leading in the Age of AI, and our big in-person event, Chipp Con: SC!
AI Highlights from Around the Web
AI is driving massive energy demand
According to Citi, AI computing demand could require an additional 55 GW of global power capacity by 2030, representing $1.4 trillion in AI-related infrastructure spending in the U.S. alone.

🌶️ Bubbles create customer surplus. With AI, much of the spend goes to GPUs (basically computers). As we know, computers aren’t worth much a few years later. The actual durable surplus coming from the AI buildout will be energy as I argued here.
Jeff Bezos: AI training data centers could move to space
Amazon’s founder predicts that within 10–20 years, AI training clusters could be powered by 24/7 solar energy in space. It’s a wild vision that could transform Earth’s energy and industrial systems.

🌶️ As we look at the massive energy needs, people are looking to new options to capture energy. This blue ocean (blue atmosphere?) thinking could lead to massive leaps in quality of life and massive changes in how our society operates.
AI scribes reduce burnout among doctors
A new study found that doctors using AI note-taking tools experience a 25% drop in burnout and gain more time to focus on patient care. It’s a powerful reminder that AI’s best wins often come from small, focused use cases that remove tedious work.

🌶️ I’ve seen the burnout first hand as my wife would chart late into the night. Many of the most impactful uses of AI are already possible and just need to be implemented.
