Dharmesh Shah shared insights on the future of AI agents, predicting both vertical and horizontal agent platforms will dominate the market. We'll see specialized AI agents across CRM, HR, ERP, and other major business categories.
🌶️ While many tout the future of vertical AI, it misses the point. The future is vertical at the individual level. We will each have a personal agent. Here at Chipp, we’re betting there will be a platform for everyone to build and maintain their personal and company agents.
The Persistence of Prompting
Balaji offered a fascinating take on why prompting has stayed relevant despite AI advances. Rather than disappearing, prompting has evolved to become more sophisticated, handling multiple types of inputs including PDFs, images, and text.
🌶️ Communication matters. If you’re talking to a child, you need the right words. If you’re talking to a computer, you need the right code. If you’re talking to AI, you need the right prompts. Look for the smiling curve effect: most prompts will be pre-generated or simple. A small percentage will be incredibly specific and require true prompt engineering.

Graham Cooke highlighted a crucial divide in AI development: centralized control (OpenAI/Google) versus distributed, democratic development (Nvidia). This isn't just a technical discussion - it's about who controls AI's future.
