AI is moving quickly. 💨
Here are the highlights from the week that was in AI and Chipplandia and our spicy takes on what it actually means 🌶️:
AI Highlights from Around the Web
AI Therapy Shows Promise
Interesting research shared by Justine Moore reveals that in a study of 830 people, participants not only couldn't distinguish between ChatGPT and human therapists but actually preferred AI responses on key therapy principles like empathy.

🌶️ When communication is personalized, it lands more effectively. This is true for counseling as well as medicine, education and more. I see AI helping to give therapists the language and direction they need, and then the human can share with an empathetic approach.
Co-Scientist Solves Superbug Challenge
Google launched Co-Scientist to work alongside researchers. They are already using it to solve complex problems. In two days, it ingested all the research data and identified why some superbugs are immune to antibiotics.

🌶️ Science is accelerating and medicine is becoming more personalized. As models are more focused on specific information, like academic research, it will become a literal co-researcher. This is great for all of us and turns researchers into conductors of exploration.
AI vs. Misinformation
Ethan Mollick highlighted a fascinating study showing how GPT-4 can effectively change long-term conspiracy theory beliefs. The key? AI's ability to provide personalized, evidence-based responses that resonate with individual beliefs.

🌶️ We know personalized education improves results. Now we see personalized communication can have a an impact outside the classroom. Most of us find it hard to talk to people we strongly disagree with. AI is a perfect solution.
AI Agents Team Up!
Lamar shared an exciting demo where he paired an OpenAI operator with a Replit agent to build an app. The fascinating part? The AI agents worked together independently, exchanging credentials and running tests.

🌶️ Replit is a great way for anyone to build, even without coding skills. Connecting an AI to drive the build process shows the future of development, with the human jumping in to clarify, direct, and applaud.
Microsoft
A tweet from Aakash Gupta shares a game-changing prompt framework that caught OpenAI President Greg Brockman's attention. The framework breaks down prompts into clear sections: Goal, Return Format, Warnings, and Context Dump - making it easier for anyone to get better results from AI.

🌶️ I call it the RIPEN framework. Give a reasoning model a role, instruction, parameter, example output, and notes. Download the guide.
