# SeekOut MCP

Connect SeekOut to search and source talent from your AI assistant using OAuth

Connect your SeekOut account to give your AI assistant access to SeekOut's candidate database, talent market data, and ATS pipeline management.

## Overview

The SeekOut integration lets your AI:

- **Search Candidates** - Search across SeekOut's candidate database by skills, experience, location, and more
- **Analyze Talent Markets** - Understand talent supply and demand for any role or geography
- **Review Your Pipeline** - Surface and prioritize candidates already in your ATS

## Prerequisites

- A SeekOut account with MCP access
- Builder plan or higher on Chipp

## How to Connect

SeekOut uses OAuth 2.0 with automatic setup: no API key or client credentials to provision.

1. Go to [build.chipp.ai](https://build.chipp.ai) and open your app
2. Click **Build** in the sidebar
3. Scroll to the **Connect** card and click **Add Pro Action**
4. Find **SeekOut** in the provider list
5. Click **Connect**
6. A popup opens to SeekOut's login page: sign in with your SeekOut credentials
7. Authorize Chipp to access your SeekOut data
8. The popup closes and SeekOut tools are available in your app

> **Note:** SeekOut uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE and automatic client registration.
> No API keys or client secrets are required on either side.
> Your credentials are never shared with Chipp.

## Available Tools

The following tools are discovered live from SeekOut's server when you connect. The exact tool set depends on your SeekOut plan and account configuration.

Common capabilities include:

- **Search candidates** - Find profiles by skills, experience, education, location, and more
- **Talent market analysis** - Analyze supply and demand for a role, skill, or location
- **Pipeline review** - Review and rank candidates in your connected ATS

## Troubleshooting

### OAuth popup closes without connecting

- Make sure popups are allowed for build.chipp.ai in your browser
- Try in an incognito window to rule out extension interference
- Re-click Connect to start fresh

### "Authorization failed" or "Access denied"

- Confirm you are logged into the correct SeekOut account
- Check with your SeekOut administrator that your account has MCP access enabled
- Contact SeekOut support at support@seekout.com if MCP access needs provisioning

### No tools appear after connecting

- Try the "Test" button in the Pro Actions panel to verify the connection is active
- Disconnect and reconnect to get a fresh token
- Contact support@chipp.ai if the issue persists
